How do I find my veterans medals?

You can mail a letter to the headquarters of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps in case of a problem or an appeal. Additionally, veterans and active service members can go to the administration section of their company or squad to get copies of their records and apply to receive medals.

Where do I find my ESR Navy?

The ESR application is available via the NSIPS web page. All service members are encouraged to obtain a self-service ESR account. Command representatives can obtain access to their command’s ESR records via the NSIPS web page link above.

How do I find unit awards?

Units should locate the orders for the award, and then may contact Awards and Decorations Branch at USARMY.KNOX.HRC.MBX.TAGD-AWARDS@MAIL.MIL to place a request. If a unit is the main unit cited in the award, they will receive a citation and certificates for any subordinate units that received the award.

Are military awards public record?

You can only get a replacement medal from the Ministry of Defence ( MOD ) if it was stolen or destroyed, for example in a fire or flood. The medal must have been awarded for service after World War 1. You’ll need to show proof by providing a copy of either a: police crime report.
